Products

aquaTECH produces water treatment products. These include materials for solid-liquid separation (coagulant and flocculant) as well as dispersants, nutrients, and anti-odour chemicals. We took the decision, some years ago, to have all our products food certified.

All of aquaTECH’s products made in Switzerland are Kosher certified (Beth Dinh). The majority of products are Halal certified (HCS) and, where appropriate, potable water approval (NSF) has been given.

Tannin is a 100% natural coagulant based on wattle, offering an effective alternative to inorganic & synthetic coagulants

aquaAROME is an anti-odour chemical for water and sludges

aquaNUTRI is a Liquid-based nutrient for water treatment

Polymac is a unique product which is used in the tissue paper industry to reduce energy and improve the speed of production, while keeping water clean.

SnowFlake: powdered flocculants (Kosher, Halal, some NSF for potable water)

Amber : Liquid coagulants based on PolyDADMAC (liquid and powder)

Some proprietary blends of organics and inorganics (Kosher, Halal for all except the blends with inorganics)

Amber : liquid coagulants based on polyanides (liquid)

Some proprietary blends of organics and inorganics (Kosher, Halal for all except the blends with inorganics)

Disperse: Anti-scalants which can be used in thermal equipment (e.g., boilers) and membranes. NSF approved for potable water.

In many cases the unique properties come by controlling the distribution of charges, molecular size and structure (branching). To a large part this is achieved via innovations in process technology as well as the organization of the production and development team. The Flocculants are used in many different processes. For example, for sugar SnowFlake U0 is relatively unique and clarifies
extremely well. To clarify the syrup, some Amber 2009 (a coagulant) is applied. In potable water with a high inorganic content, the cationic SnowFlake GHMW has succeeded for many municipalities. For sludges SnowFlake BHMW is often applied.  In mining SnowFlake K0 (non-ionic), SnowFlake R00 (low charge anionic) and SnowFlake X0 are used.SnowFlake XY0 is relatively new and combines a very high viscosity with a sticky polymer owing to its charge.

For water treatment in oily systems or where sedimentation is important, we would suggest to use Amber RF05p. In flotation inverse-emulsions can be very parsimonious (AlpineFloc B1 or the branched B1+ or F1+). Alpine W1 is anionic and functions very well after mixed organic/inorganic coagulant systems. Like many emulsions, on dilute sludges the consumption can be significantly less than for powders. For very difficult to treat waters the coagulant blend Amber B2001 can be extremely functional.

Disperse 1 and (neutralized) are often used in boilers and membranes. They can be blended with the terpolymer Amber 4001, which is less expensive and has a cleaning effect on process equipment. The anti-scalants all withstand temperatures above 400 degrees Celsius, some 500 degrees Celsius, and can be used at very low dosages (few ppm).
